Accounting, Trainee / Graduate Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Fund Accountant to join their Funds team within the Jersey Fund Administration team. This role reports to the Manager and is responsible for maintaining the day-to-day integrity of ledgers. The successful candidate will support the team in delivering high-quality accounting services to clients. The position ensures that accurate and up-to-date accounting records are maintained for assigned funds, providing essential support for both internal and external audits. This role also contributes to efficient workflow management, enabling timely completion of objectives. The role offers an excellent opportunity to grow within the financial services sector, working alongside experienced professionals. It is imperative that the Junior Fund Accountant stays updated with industry, legal, and regulatory requirements related to accounting and financial management. Job Duties:

Perform daily bookkeeping to record and maintain detailed accounting transactions, ensuring the accuracy of all entries. Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records for assigned funds. Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, broker accounts, investment portfolios, etc., to ensure accurate recording of all transactions. Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate efficient completion of audits and financial reviews. Manage workflow effectively to meet team and company objectives in a timely manner. Work closely with senior fund accountants to ensure timely and accurate client reporting. Respond to ad hoc financial and accounting queries as required. Attend CPD training to remain compliant with regulatory requirements, ensuring relevance to the role. Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures. Stay updated on industry, legal, and regulatory requirements related to accounting and financial management.

Job Requirements:

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and competent in other Microsoft Office applications. Strong numerical and analytical skills. Familiarity with one or more leading fund accounting systems (e.g., Investran, Yardi, or ViewPoint) is essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. Experience in Private Equity Funds is preferable.
