Role purpose:
To be responsible for the management of a portfolio of clients together with all aspects of service delivery in consultation with the Directors and senior management of Audit and Assurance. And where required, to act as the Audit Senior in certain engagements undertaking audits of financial statements or other assurance work.
Core responsibilities:
**People Management
**
- To be responsible for managing a team of Audit Senior and Auditors and communicating with the Directors of Audit and Assurance and/or the Audit Manager.
- To coach, develop and train all staff members working within the team, including contribution to the performance reviews and appraisals.
- To communicate effectively at all levels for the benefit of the clients and the Firm as a whole.
- To provide technical support to the whole audit team and to ensure and enforce excellent technical standards in all work.
- To assist in staff resourcing (e.g. candidate interviews) and staff planning, when required.
- To lead on “lunch and learn” initiatives to train up staffs on certain areas of the audit.
- To assist in staff social events.
**Operational Excellence
**
- To act as Senior Auditor reporting to the Managing Director of Audit and Assurance and/or Audit Manager.
- To manage all aspects of the client portfolio (service delivery, timesheet approval, WIP, billing and debtors) including monitoring key performance indicators and reporting on departures.
- To undertake occasional ‘ad hoc’ assignments for clients of the Firm and for the Managing Director of Audit and Assurance.
**Commercial Growth
**
- To attend monthly meetings of Moore Stephens Audit and Assurance (Jersey) Limited and be prepared to contribute to the successful operation of the company as a whole and to the audit department specifically.
- To assist in client proposals and presentation, when required.
Technical / Professional / Qualification Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant (by qualification through the Professional body); or
- Qualification relevant to function; and
- Evidence of Continuous Professional Development; and
- Management Training undertaken; and
- People Management skills and experience.
