Our client, a large Channel Islands’ service provider in the telecommunications sector, is looking for a Cloud Solution Consultant. In this position, the consultant will primarily be responsible for the consultative design and delivery of the company’s cloud suite comprising IaaS, disaster recovery, backup, network, security and associated services. Within an evolving technology and cloud services marketplace, the successful candidate will often investigate, design and automate new technologies, providing for current and future needs.

Responsibilities
Hold responsibility for the design and development of cloud services solutions and related technical, operational strategies, planning and delivery phases, and pursuing partnerships.
Develop strong collaborative relationships with the Cloud Services Managed Services operational team.
Mentor and guide other team members in their specialist areas of technology.
Develop and maintain relationships with key supplier and account stakeholders.
Work with the CBO team to deliver compelling and effective solutions across the full product portfolio, where required.
In conjunction with other members of the team, stand as a brand ambassador with stakeholders, customers and industry bodies to manage and enhance the brand and corporate image, develop new business, and influence industry and market decision makers.
Contribute to Cloud solution designs comprising the following:
Cloud: Public, private and hybrid deployments based on VMware technology
Cloud: Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services
Microsoft Hyper-V
Microsoft 365
Server Backup and Disaster Recovery technologies (Zerto)
DaaS VDI (Citrix)
Linux, Windows, SQL and other supporting technologies
Storage and data backup solutions (hardware and software)
Data Centre colocation services (racks, power, cooling, connectivity)
Networking pertaining to cloud infrastructure
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will hold at least 5 years' experience in a senior system engineer or systems integrator role, preferably in a service provider environment, with expert knowledge and a proven track record in designing solutions and products within the Cloud, data centre and IT technologies markets. The successful applicant will have professional qualifications across multiple disciplines such as VCP, MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CCNA or equivalent. Whilst not essential, knowledge and experience of ITIL, TOGAF, ISO27001 and PCI-DSS would be advantageous. In addition to effective communication, time management and organisational skills, candidates will have a proven and credible background of providing cloud solution services, as well as expert knowledge of backup and replication technologies. This position will suit an individual who shows initiative and acts independently to resolve problems, who has experience of managing customer relationships with confidence, and who demonstrates an ability to handle difficult situations satisfactorily and work with various customers and management levels.
