Key Responsibilities:
- Receive trailers and check them against delivery information and documentation
- Count all incoming trays & cases to aid identifying stock loss
- Ensure temperature checks are carried out and recorded
- Unload containers into work area
- Sort cold chain stock by department for each store
- Present sorted stacks to Ferryspeed staff ready for loading onto trucks
- Ensure small cold chains trays are sorted and shrink-wrapped before presenting to Ferryspeed staff
- Identify mispicks and correct them where possible.
- Complete all relevant paperwork accurately
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the workspace
- Be able to communicate in a clear and confident manner with colleagues, management and contractors
- Adhere to health & safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment
- Be alert to damage, making appropriate referral to management
- Assist with the training and development of new staff
- As necessary, work out of role in order to meet customer needs
Skills & Knowledge Required:
- Excellent organisational and co-ordination skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Experience of working night shifts
- Due to the nature of this role all applicants must be physically fit
- High attention to detail required
- Good communication/interpersonal skills
- Ability to work on own initiative and under pressure to meet tight deadlines
- Recognises and solves routine problems
