Purpose of the job
- NAVOne is one of Ocorian’s core applications and this role is to be the prime source of NAVOne expertise in the firm, providing guidance and support for all aspects of application usage including data migration and consolidation, application integration, workflows and data analysis.
- To lead the deployment, maintenance, upgrade and development of NAVOne in all Ocorian offices.
- To support colleagues across the firm globally in the use of the NAVOne platform through the sharing of knowledge, skills and experience including in conjunction with the Ocorian Learning and Development Team.
- To support business development initiatives where necessary with particular focus on data onboarding and the use of NAVOne to meet client requirements.
- To be a primary technical contact with the NAVOne supplier, TrustQuay.
- To produce and maintain clear and succinct systems and integrations documentation. Where custom development is required, this role will produce clear specifications, including use and test cases, for developers working in an Agile DevOps oriented development environment and ensure appropriate quality testing.
- To help deliver high quality and consistent data, processes and reporting in all business areas and jurisdictions in line with Ocorian's information security model, controls and procedures.
- The ability to work logically and efficiently is essential. The role involves interactions at all levels of Ocorian and with external parties, so a personable nature and good communication skills are highly necessary.
Main responsibilities
- Through working with colleagues across the business, ensure that Ocorian makes the best use of all the capabilities of the NAVOne platform.
- To support all business operations on the NAVOne platform including practice and client accounting, client operations and banking and payments.
- To lead and support all technical operations on the NAVOne platform including system testing, patches and upgrades.
- To ensure that the NAVOne application platform complies with the firm’s information security, application and information lifecycle policies.
- To lead and support all data migration initiatives including the rapid onboarding of external data as well as data migration between Ocorian applications.
- To implement, maintain and support the NAVOne integrations with other Ocorian applications.
- To share knowledge and expertise with colleagues across Ocorian.
- Work within the Ocorian Change Control environment.
- To develop and implement core standard business processes across all jurisdictions.
Knowledge, skills and experience
- Knowledge of and deep experience with the NAVOne financial management system is essential.
- A thorough understanding of trust and company accounting and financial reporting would be an advantage.
- A high level of cross-jurisdictional fiduciary services business awareness together with an understanding of the client services offered by Ocorian and a proven track record of NAVOne migration and integration in such a business.
- This position requires a strong BA skill set covering process, system and data analysis, data management, data migration, reporting, planning and business intelligence as well as operational and risk knowledge including a firm understanding of information security and compliance processes.
- The postholder must be quick and clear thinking with the ability to devise innovative solutions where appropriate and with the self-motivation to tackle tasks independently where required.
- Since this role involves working with a wide range of colleagues at all levels and in all jurisdictions, excellent people skills are required to include a high level of integrity, strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Microsoft SQL skills would be an advantage but are not essential.
- It is expected that the post holder would typically have 5+ years’ experience working with TrustQuay NAVOne in a similar financial services environment.
- A willingness to support the future growth and success of the Group.
