The Occupational Therapy Team are looking for an Occupational Therapy Assistant (part-time 18.75 hours per week).
The post holder will work as part of the multi-disciplinary team within the physical health inpatient and community services settings of HSC adult services. They will provide Occupational Therapy services as delegated by a qualified occupational therapist. This may include administrative and non-clinical support to the occupational therapists.
The post holder will support the Occupational Therapist in the implementation of intervention plans with a variety of conditions, ranging from standard to highly complex, and aimed at reducing the impact of disability and ill health. This may include lone working (i.e. home visits) and carrying a small caseload of clients under the supervision of an occupational therapist. They will also participate in service development and evaluation of Occupational Therapy within adult physical health and community as appropriate.

Should the successful applicant not meet the requirements sufficiently he/she may be appointed at a lower grade than stated. The successful applicant would then have the opportunity to progress to the grade advertised once the necessary skills and knowledge have been developed and they have demonstrated the ability to undertake the duties at the higher level.
