The Position
Do you have a passion for retail & ethical products? We are looking for an enthusiastic sales assistant to work occasionally on a flexible basis in our St Peter Port lifestyle & wellness boutique and to help cover for holidays, sickness, busy periods & events.
Responsibilities
-Operation of Till, Opening & Closing Procedures.
-Excellent Customer Service, Meeting Sales Targets, Product Knowledge.
-
Visual Merchandising.
-Receive and process deliveries.
-Process, pack and post web orders.
-Attending events and training.
Experience
Experience in a retail or customer service environment is ideal but not essential.
Training forms an essential part of the role.
Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate would:
-Demonstrate excellent customer service and sales skills.
-Show a strong interest in retail.
-Have technical knowledge for IT systems.
-Demonstrate an interest in, and willingness to learn about, natural health and beauty products, and a commitment to keeping up to date with the latest products.
-Demonstrate creative flair and initiative: maintaining the boutique environment to good standards of presentation and safety.
-Show a willingness to participate in promotional events and contribute to the organisation the activity.
-Demonstrate a polite and efficient telephone manner, and an ability to draft emails to customers, suppliers and other agents.
-Demonstrate adequate literacy and numeracy skills.
-Agree to cover staff sickness and staff holidays as necessary.
Demonstrate positivity, flexibility and a willingness to embrace new ideas and opportunities.

**Hours**
The ideal candidate will be happy to work occasional hours (once or twice a month) and have the flexibility to work additional hours during busy periods of the year and also to cover for other team member's absences (principally due to holiday or sickness).
