Guernsey Employment Trust (GET) supports disabled and disadvantaged people or those with long-term health conditions to prepare for work, find work and maintain work.

Working flexibly to suit the volunteer. The time commitment for this post is not fixed but ideally the charity is looking for support for 10-20 hours per month.
--------------------------------------- Duties and responsibilities:
Research local, national and worldwide dates of interest associated with the work of GET or our customers to plan social media content to celebrate or support these occasions.
Brainstorm or provide content ideas (written and visual) for social media posts and/or campaigns.
Use Canva, or another creative design platform to design social media posts.
With the appropriate Author permissions and once posts have been approved by Management, to post on social media or schedule for a later date.
Work in partnership at all times with Management and Chief Executive to ensure that the content is timely and appropriate.
Follow GET on social media and to suggest appropriate responses or actions based on posts made by other stakeholders.
When required, to assist with setting up new social media platforms.
Work with the Supported Employment Team and both their clients and employers to gather stories, testimonials, reviews, photographs and videos that can be used for promotional materials and social media. To also gather the appropriate signed consent for their stories/data to be shared online.
Abide by GET’s policies and procedures and to raise any concerns with Management in a timely fashion.
Attend training identified as mandatory for the role.
Where possible, participate in raising the awareness and profile of the Guernsey Employment Trust through attendance at events and being personally involved in social media posts.
--------------------------------------- Experience and skills required: - Self-motivated professional.
Very good creative writing and design skills.
Excellent knowledge of social media platforms with understanding of how to engage with and influence the audience.
Experience or education in communications, marketing or social media.
