The States of Guernsey are looking to appoint a Detective Constable - Criminal Investigation Department to join the team at Law Enforcement.
The post holder will undertake the investigative response to serious, complex and serial criminal investigations, including serious sexual offences, missing persons and suspicious deaths.
The post holder will undertake investigations in accordance with the Law Enforcement Service Delivery Plan and ensure that activities comply with legislation, policies and procedures, thereby reflecting best practice.
The post holder will be expected to undertake operational duties when directed by line management, in support of primary operational activities / critical incidents and to participate in the out of hours “on-call” rota for serious crime matters.

In order to satisfy residency criteria you need to have been resident in the UK or Guernsey for a period of 3 years. The calculation of the period of time refers to the period immediately before an application is made and not any other period or accumulation of time spent in the UK or Guernsey.
Convictions likely to be considered relevant to this post include crimes involving Theft, Dishonesty and Fraud.
