Job Description

**Description of role and key responsibilities **  Overall Objective:
Investec is looking for an experienced test automation engineer to join our newly formed High Net worth and Corporate Lending technology team within Transaction, Lending and Cash.

You will have the opportunity to work with a small, highly talented team to design automation tests within the Retail and Corporate Lending space. Test automation engineer's duties include:
• Test planning and execution  • Designing and developing test automation scripts
• Manual and automation testing
• API testing (REST & SOAP)
• Experience with Test-Driven Development
• Analysis and Reporting
• Defining, maintaining, and owning team testing standards
• Using test automation guidelines
• Collaborating with business analysts, and software developers to develop solutions
• Keeping updated with the latest industry developments

**Core skills and knowledge ** Technical:
• Experience of web development, with Angular design and development with JavaScript.
• Experience with AZURE, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), .Net, .Net Core, Angular, C#, JavaScript, jQuery, LINQ, SQL and/or Cosmos DB.
• Experience with data-handling within Azure.
• Working with end user, business analysts and developers
• Participating in QA activities: Integration-, Regression-, Performance-testing
• Post-release support
• Following and contributing to Test Guild and test automation best practice and standards

Your experience
•  Experience working as a automation test engineer
• Knowledge of Selenium Test Environment and the ability to configure it
• Experience in test tools e.g. Playwright, Cypress Selenium.
• Good understanding of programming languages like Java, SQL, HTML, C#, Python, Perl, CSS, or XML
• Highly accurate and detail-oriented
• Familiarity with Agile & DevOps methodologies
• Excellent reporting, time management, analytical & communication skills
• Knowledge of test management tools
• Communication and interaction with users, Business analysts and Developers

Qualification
• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science or an IT related filed.
• Previous experience as a test automation engineer
•  Experience in manual testing
