We are searching for a driven, enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join our team!
Daniel Green Catering produces the food service in an open corporate kitchen environment for the staff at Specsavers Head office, La Villiaze, St Andrews, Guernsey.
The applicant's main responsibility will be to run a section in the kitchen to deliver a hot and cold breakfast service to the customers, taking food orders and cash handling.
The applicant will be involved with preparation for lunch service, both hot and cold to daily deadlines.
The applicant's other responsibilities will include learning and developing practical skills within the kitchen whilst observing all health, hygiene, and safety codes.
The applicant should be well-organized, flexible, and willing to assist wherever possible.
The applicant must be able to interact face to face with customers in an open kitchen, able to learn new skills, be comfortable with cash handling.
To be successful in the application, the applicant must have good time management skills and be willing to fit into the existing staff structure.
The applicant must respond well to criticism, build good relationships with colleagues, and ultimately make a lasting impression.
Chef de Partie Responsibilities:
- Taking customer's food orders, hot and cold breakfast service, cash handling.
- Responsible for the daily running, ordering and organising own section in the kitchen.
- Assisting within the team and learning about other aspects of the kitchen.
- Observing health, hygiene, and safety procedures.
- Working in the office and traveling to other sites when required.
- Positively receiving feedback.
Basic hours of employment are 7.30am until 2.30pm, Monday to Friday with half hour paid lunch break. Meals and refreshments are provided.
