We are seeking a Marketing and Business Development Assistant to provide marketing support to our Corporate, Banking and Finance and Investment Funds legal practices across the firm, and to work closely with the senior manager on varied business development and marketing initiatives, such as market research, data analysis, collateral and pitches. View to ultimately become the go-to person to support a number of our corporate partners in time
This role is open to both Guernsey and Jersey candidates
Principle duties to include:
Internal data - Management information & Analysis
- Lead on the gathering of key deal and other data across corporate practice areas
- Perform Microsoft Excel spreadsheet analysis of internal data sets and subsequent formatting/visualisations, for both internal management and external client use
- Lead on the collation of information from across the firm for annual investment fund and corporate surveys e.g. Jersey and Guernsey investment funds, London Stock Exchange listed companies etc
External data - Market research
- Conduct desk research into the corporate and investment funds legal market (e.g. research into investment funds, onshore law firms and lawyers, financial intermediaries, competitors etc.)
- Track innovation and trends within the industry and evaluating and identifying new opportunities for the firm
- Ad hoc research and data collection as requested by partners
**Marketing collateral **
- Liaise with partners, fee earners, our brand team and an external design agency to assist in the production of glossy brochures, firm and team credentials flyers, and other collateral to support our corporate, banking and finance and investment fund practices globally
Pitches and proposals
- Work with corporate partners, fee earners and the marketing team on the creation and production of bids, pitches and RFP's as required
**Legal Directories & Awards **
- Drafting and submission of legal directories and award submission for certain corporate practices, using the firm's standard template and process
Press, PR, Brand and Advertising
- Assist on an ad hoc basis with press releases, advertising campaigns (print, digital, video) and liaise with third party legal industry publications
This role would be perfect for a recent graduate, or someone with experience in legal, professional services, financial journalism, accountancy or fund administration welcome.
We are looking for candidates with good Microsoft Excel skills, good interpersonal skills and excellent written communication skills.
