We're a leading event company based in Guernsey, specialising in luxury outdoor events and we're looking for someone to join our team! We deliver high end events with attention to detail so we need someone that also takes pride in what they do. Whist the job is hard work and can be tiring, it is also very rewarding and often outside in summer, where you can enjoy the beautiful landscape of Guernsey!
The Role
You would be working at different venues around the Bailiwick including hotels, private homes, Corporate buildings and many outdoor sites. You would work with a great team to erect and dismantle our Tipis, Sperry & stretch tents. You would also be involved in preparing the equipment, loading the vehicles, travelling to site and building all equipment/furnishings to deliver a beautiful event, alongside our team. Once the event is complete, you would work with the team to dismantle, return all the equipment and undertake the cleaning and maintenance tasks at the warehouse to ensure we're ready for the next job.
Skills and experience
• You need to be completely reliable & punctual
• You need to be hands on and get stuck in to all jobs
• Hardworking and prepared to work flexible & sometimes unsocial hours, although the majority of hours are within "normal hours"
• You need to enjoy physical work and generally be active
• A full driving is essential
• Experience in events, tent rigging or manual work would be useful but not essential as training will be given
• You need to be practical with the ability to learn and problem solve
• Enjoy working as part of team and meeting suppliers & customers
Hours
A full time contract is available but part time hours would be considered.
We're a flexible team that supports our staff in achieving a good work-life balance so flexible days/hours are possible.
Your hours would be 40 hours per week in summer season (which runs from May - September) and approximately 30 hours during the low season. There would be occasional weekend work confirmed in advance
