Assistant Manager, Reconciliations Creation

Job Summary Job Description What is the opportunity? The Operations Department in Jersey is enhancing its team of professionals to perform operational activities to support the running of key functions across the organisation, whilst ensuring adherence to ongoing and upcoming regulatory requirements. You will create new Reconciliations or make changes to existing Reconciliation processes, whilst providing guidance and support to the business. In addition to this you will support investigations and reporting platforms, ensuring efficient, accurate and timely support to all Departments. Be the subject matter expert and provide guidance for establishing and upkeeping the maintenance and testing requirements for all reconciliation activity. You will support the Reconciliations team with the oversight of cash, stock and system reconciliations performed by our outsourced partner and provide cover in the absence of Manager and retain business knowledge and regulatory impacts. What will you do? Oversee and implement support of all reconciliations and investigation Builds from concept through to testing and deployment Creation of import formats to map out system file data, using initiative to problem solve workaround solutions to unique business requests Creation of Decision Trees, Concepts, Investigation steps, Action Templates and Document Templates within the reporting platform (IntelliTracs) Provide expert knowledge and advice /guidance on Reconciliation and Investigation Builds Establish effective communication with business clients and other Operations Managers to ensure transparency and understanding of build information and functions Ensure consistent maintenance support of Reconciliations System (IntelliMatch) to Reconciliation teams and Wealth Management Business Contribute and support of Process and Procedures with each supported business line Contribute to the development of reconciliations systems Assist in testing annual Swift upgrades to reconciliation system files received from vendor Act as point for issue resolution for the business lines What do you need to succeed? Must-have Demonstrate a calm, logical approach to problem solving and exception management Be able to work well under pressure Ability to prioritise and make decisions A positive and proactive attitude towards change A collaborative nature and willingness to work towards common goals as a team Experience of managing reconciliation/investigation activity A practical understanding of Securities and Banking Products Nice to Have Previous knowledge of reconciliations, reporting systems (IntelliMATCH, Crystal) Working knowledge of back office applications + SWIFT messaging What is in it for you?
