Team Description

The Energy & Infrastructure (EIF) team originates, distributes and advises debt and advisory transactions for clients in the Energy and Infrastructure space.  The EIF UK team acts for clients in UK and Europe

**Description of role and key responsibilities **

Role is to support the EIF team in origination and ongoing management of the portfolio with a focus on supporting the team with internal monitoring and reporting requirements for the EIF portfolio. The role holder will utilise asset level information incl credit papers, finance and project documents plus output from Investec source systems to perform the role.  Key responsibilities include:
• Information and Financial Covenant monitoring for the EIF UK portfolio. This includes: population of the internal covenant database; follow up of outstanding information with facility agent/ borrower; saving information to the relevant transaction folder; reporting covenant breaches to the UK based Analyst & Portfolio Manager in a timely manner. • For greenfield/construction assets periodic monitoring of construction progress via review of the contractor/ Lender Technical Adviser reporting.  This includes review of: actual costs against budget incl use of contingency; contractor expected completion date compared to original Contracted completion date; review of material risk issues. Summary report to be issued to the UK based Analyst & Portfolio Manager in a timely manner. • The annual review reports on asset level performance with reference to the financial close and updated base cases.  The review is based on the borrowers latest reporting and must be completed in line with internal deadlines. Principal responsibilities are: 1) Preparation of the tables/deal level data for each transaction 2) Population of the static level data at the front of the review with reference to source level documents including finance/project documents.  This to be updated at each review in line with waivers/amendments processed since financial close/last annual review.  • Support the EIF team by attending relevant internal meeting and actioning follow ups as necessary including weekly EIF Team meetings, monthly GLO meetings. • Other support activities associated with ongoing origination or portfolio management including but not limited to: population of data for waivers/amendment papers; maintenance of portfolio level static data incl main counterparties; collation of sustainability reporting information.

**Core skills and knowledge **

• Fluent in English and excellent oral and written skills
• Knowledge of the Energy and Infrastructure sector and its debt financing structures preferred.
• Good team player who is able to deliver in a time-efficient manner.
• Excellent command of PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and other relevant tools and databases
• To act with integrity at all times and embrace the philosophy of treating our customers fairly (compulsory)
• Regulatory Knowledge as applicable to role (compulsory)
