The primary focus of this role will be on data analysis and reporting, with the opportunity for the successful candidate to also contribute to key data engineering and administrative tasks. Responsibilities
Duties will include, but are not limited to; Taking functional data requirements and design, developing and document data integration solutions using the full Microsoft BI Stack, across the SQL Server Data Warehouse, Integration Services, Analysis Services Tabular and Power BI, with the use of some Azure based data services.
Contributing to application integration architecture projects, and working on the design and development of solutions to drive process automation via API based data solutions.
Using standardised patterns to audit routines for data integrity and performance.
Supporting the development of the governed “self-service first” approach to data and business intelligence.
Maintaining secure development working practices, following company Dev Ops practices and governance.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will showcase a strong technical aptitude, with the ability to quickly learn new skills and excel in solving complex technical challenges. They should also possess excellent analytical abilities and strong cross-functional stakeholder management skills. While prior experience in the telecommunications industry and proficiency in SQL, BI tools, or data engineering—especially within the Microsoft data stack (on-prem or cloud)—would be highly desirable, we value a candidate's ability and willingness to grow in these areas.
