The States of Guernsey are looking for a Groundsperson to join the team at States Works.
The Land Management Section undertakes a wide range of horticultural, grounds maintenance and land management services for its predominantly States clients, albeit private work is also undertaken to even out programme shortfalls and ensure resources are utilised efficiently and effectively. The Section is also involved in environmental maintenance covering most of the coastline of Guernsey and some inland environmental areas and work closely with schools and local clubs in terms of managing their summer and winter sporting requirements.
Due to the diversity of the work the post holder will be required to demonstrate a flexible approach towards working across a number of the supporting trades and will often be required to work outside their chosen trade.
