Commercial, Trainee / Graduate Our client is seeking a motivated Junior Installation Technician to join their growing team. This hands-on role offers variety and opportunity, involving the installation, maintenance, and servicing of a broad range of equipment across Guernsey and Jersey. Ideal for someone practical, eager to learn, and ready to work at height, this position provides comprehensive training, both locally and in the UK, as well as exposure to unique and dynamic challenges. Job Duties:
Install, maintain, and service equipment such as safe access systems, storage solutions, edge protection, handrails, barriers, and flood defence systems. Work across commercial warehouses and distribution sectors, ensuring Health and Safety compliance for all installations. Operate hand and power tools safely, following plans and method statements to complete projects to a high standard. Undertake work in Jersey approximately 4-5 times per year for up to one week per visit. Drive and manage a work vehicle while maintaining a clean driving record.
Job Requirements:
Ability to work at height comfortably and safely. Practical skills and experience using hand and power tools. Full, clean category B driving licence. Forklift truck (FLT) and Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) licences are desirable but will be provided if not held. Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset. Eagerness to learn and develop through training opportunities. Availability to travel off-island for training and projects as required.
