IT, Trainee / Graduate Our client is seeking an IT Support professional to provide first-line technical assistance to internal and external customers. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth IT operations, maintaining network security, and delivering high-quality service in alignment with business objectives. The position offers an opportunity to enhance technical expertise while contributing to process improvements and team development. Job Duties:
Provide first-line support for hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring timely and efficient resolution. Maintain and update the IT support ticketing system, prioritising and escalating issues as necessary. Assist in managing network security and access controls. Communicate effectively through appropriate channels to support colleagues and provide on-the-job training. Identify opportunities to improve IT systems and processes to enhance efficiency. Stay up to date with best practices for system and security management. Support the Head of Information Technology in achieving business objectives.
Job Requirements:
Relevant IT qualifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Technician, or Level 3 BTEC Diploma in IT are desirable. Minimum GCSE grades A to C (or equivalent) in Mathematics and English. A reasonable level of physical fitness due to the role’s physical aspects. General knowledge of IT systems, Microsoft server and Exchange environments, VMWare, and Citrix. Awareness of current technological developments. Strong customer service focus and ability to provide high-quality support. Previous IT support experience is beneficial but not required.
