Commercial Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Aircraft Fitter to join their dynamic maintenance team. The role involves carrying out mechanical fitting and structural tasks as part of scheduled maintenance, defect rectification, and aircraft modifications on commuter and corporate aircraft. The successful candidate will ensure all work complies with safety and regulatory standards, contributing to the team’s goal of maintaining aircraft availability and airworthiness. Job Duties:
Carry out mechanical and structural fitting tasks on a variety of commuter and corporate aircraft Perform inspections, adjustments, repairs, and replacements of aircraft components in accordance with maintenance manuals and company procedures Support both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, including AOG situations Assist with major repairs and modifications, including structural work and system installations Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards (e.g., CAA/EASA/FAA as applicable) Collaborate with licensed engineers and team members to maintain aircraft availability and airworthiness
Job Requirements:
Proven experience in motor, marine, or aviation engineering fields Strong understanding of mechanical systems and maintenance practices Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, maintenance manuals, and engineering instructions Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to troubleshooting and repairs Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Physically fit and able to work in various positions and environments Basic IT literacy Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in any field of engineering
