Banking Our client is seeking a Payments Administrator to join their Guernsey office on a permanent, full-time basis. This role is focused on processing payments efficiently and accurately while maintaining strict adherence to internal controls, regulatory standards, and client service expectations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, an organised approach to work, and a commitment to maintaining the highest levels of accuracy in a deadline-driven environment. Job Duties:

Process a wide range of payments across various currencies and platforms Prepare and submit payment instructions via online banking systems in line with internal procedures Verify payment details and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance Liaise with internal teams to resolve queries and ensure timely processing of transactions Assist in the reconciliation of payments and ensure issues are investigated and resolved promptly Monitor payment queues and prioritise urgent or high-value transactions appropriately Maintain up-to-date knowledge of banking formats, procedures, and system updates Ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with internal policies, regulatory guidelines, and service level agreements Escalate any issues or discrepancies to senior team members as required Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and support process efficiency initiatives Provide support during audits or internal reviews relating to payments and controls

Job Requirements:

Prior experience in a payments function Familiarity with online banking systems and payment processes Strong numerical and analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines Good understanding of regulatory and compliance standards in relation to payments Excellent organisational and time management skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel A proactive approach to problem-solving and willingness to take ownership of tasks Team-oriented mindset with a flexible and adaptable attitude
