Accounting Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their Private Equity Operations team in a full-time capacity. This role plays a vital part in delivering high-quality accounting services to a portfolio of private equity clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex accounting matters, overseeing investment transactions, supporting investor reporting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks. The position also involves regular communication with internal teams, investment advisors, and third parties, as well as mentoring junior team members. Strong client service, technical accounting expertise, and organisational skills are key to success in this role. Job Duties:

Build strong relationships with investment advisors and other third parties to deliver high-quality client service Develop thorough knowledge of client-specific requirements and key processes Collaborate with clients to resolve complex queries and issues Monitor assigned mailboxes and manage workflow tasks as directed by management Review the work of junior team members and provide support and guidance Prepare and review complex accounts under various GAAPs and IFRS Maintain accurate records of investments and portfolios, including purchases, disposals, income receipts, and valuations Calculate investor calls and distributions, manage fund-related payments, and maintain accounting records accordingly Assist with company secretarial duties such as preparing meeting minutes and agendas, processing investor transfers, and maintaining investor data Support the completion of AIFMD and Solvency II regulatory reporting Provide information for tax returns and review data for tax reporting purposes (e.g., FATCA, CRS, and jurisdiction-specific requirements) Liaise with internal departments such as Compliance, CDD, and Tax

Job Requirements:

Hold an accounting qualification (ACA or ACCA preferred), or be part-qualified with relevant experience Experience with UK, US, and Luxembourg GAAPs Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally with exposure to debt instruments General understanding of Guernsey Company, POI, and Partnership laws, with a willingness to stay updated on legal developments Confident in communicating directly with clients and senior stakeholders Strong self-management, organisational, and time management skills Demonstrates professional judgement, a high standard of accuracy, and attention to detail Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision A collaborative team player with a flexible and proactive approach
