Commercial, Part-time, Retail Our client is an exciting opportunity for a Buyers Assistant in the Womenswear team at a prestigious garden centre group with its Head Office in Guernsey. This part-time position offers between 20 to 35 hours per week and the role provides full training and support for individuals passionate about fashion and keen to step into the industry. Job Duties:
Supporting the Buyer to ensure everything is on track – from product development to delivery Assisting in the preparation and management of samples for meetings and fittings Communicating with suppliers to send tech packs, approve trims, and manage orders Participating in product fit sessions and ensuring all necessary preparations are made in advance Learning to build ranges and analyse sales performance Supporting product packaging and labelling checks Addressing store queries and providing friendly, accurate information Developing an understanding of the retail calendar and seasonal launches Staying up to date with fashion trends and competitors to suggest new ideas
Job Requirements:
A keen interest in fashion and a positive attitude Enthusiastic, organised, and eager to learn Strong communication skills with a collaborative mindset Willingness to take on new challenges and solve problems Detail-oriented with a good eye for trends and design Ambitious, with a desire to grow within a creative business
