Accounting, Trust Our client is currently seeking a full-time Trust Manager to join their team in Jersey. This role is pivotal in managing the delivery of activities and transactions for a diverse client portfolio, under the guidance of the Associate Director or Client Director. The Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing junior team members, delegating tasks, and reviewing performance while ensuring the highest standards of client service and compliance with regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities:
Take responsibility for the administration of a portfolio of clients while developing and maintaining relationships with both new and existing clients. Ensure all transactions are properly authorised and recorded with a focus on risk management. Manage trust and company portfolios containing complex structures and a variety of assets, including properties, investment portfolios, and vehicles. Accurately record all tasks in daily timesheets with clear descriptions, ensuring utilisation is chargeable and recoverable for clients. Provide support, coaching, and performance management to the team, keeping the Associate Director and/or Client Director informed and engaged. Build and strengthen relationships with key clients and intermediaries, while identifying new opportunities for products and services. Conduct all business in accordance with the company’s policies and local regulatory guidelines. Embrace and embody the company’s culture and core values. Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably required.
Job Requirements:
Strong people and leadership skills, including the ability to develop and mentor others. Excellent client relationship management skills, with a focus on understanding clients’ needs and establishing sustainable relationships. Comprehensive knowledge of company and trust administration, including statutory requirements of major offshore jurisdictions. Regulatory knowledge regarding the local regulator (JFSC) and the ability to identify and manage relevant business risks. A commercial mindset regarding the profitability of client portfolios and the evolution of commercial relationships. Exceptional prioritisation skills for workload management and delegation to enhance client service delivery. Self-motivated with outstanding communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a methodical and detail-oriented approach. Competency in Microsoft Office; experience with Business Central is advantageous.
