Funds Our client is seeking a Fund Accountant to play a crucial role in delivering efficient, timely, and high-quality accounting services for a portfolio of fund administration and private equity clients. This position involves supporting the management team to develop new business opportunities while enhancing client service and profitability. Job Duties:
Undertaking all aspects of accounting matters for a portfolio of fund structures for private equity funds, including bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, preparation of financial statements, and investor capital accounts. Conducting capital adequacy and solvency tests, calculating management and performance fees, and addressing ad-hoc client and investor queries. Agreeing on timetables, ensuring adherence to deadlines, and maintaining proactive communication throughout the process. Coordinating the audit process for various companies and fund structures. Advising on potential accounting issues and sharing best practices with both the team and clients. Contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures. Developing client-specific knowledge to facilitate the delivery of ad-hoc queries. Fulfilling signatory responsibilities as required. Ensuring all activities align with company policies, procedures, and regulations. Updating timesheets on a daily basis. Assisting in training and development of other staff members.
Job Requirements:
Minimum of 2 - 3 years’ accounting experience in the offshore funds industry, specifically with private equity fund accounting. A recognised accounting qualification, with familiarity in UK GAAP and IFRS. Advanced Excel skills. Excellent attention to detail. Strong ability to set priorities and manage deadlines.
