Accounting, Tax Our client, a leading provider of bespoke private wealth, corporate administration, and yacht services, is seeking a Group Head of Client Accounting & Tax Services. This is a pivotal Director-level leadership role aimed at steering the strategic direction, technical oversight, and operational performance of client accounting and tax compliance across various jurisdictions. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing service delivery for complex corporate, trust, and private wealth structures, ensuring both high quality and regulatory compliance. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work collaboratively across a global network while leading large, geographically dispersed teams. Job Duties:
Provide strategic, operational, and technical leadership across the Group’s client accounting and tax teams. Design, deliver, and govern client accounting and tax compliance services that drive sustainable growth. Act as a trusted advisor to the Group Executive on business development and client structuring. Ensure end-to-end delivery of accurate client accounting and tax outputs. Oversee preparation of financial statements, VAT/GST returns, and other financial outputs to meet all jurisdictional requirements. Implement standardised Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for enhanced performance and risk management. Champion automation and technology integration to improve reporting accuracy and client experience. Lead the Group’s response to regulatory changes, ensuring robust oversight of tax compliance matters. Manage relationships with regulators and tax authorities, addressing audits and inquiries. Inspire high-performing, cross-jurisdictional teams and establish a culture focused on excellence and collaboration. Act as an ambassador for the function at leadership forums and client meetings, fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Job Requirements:
Degree-level education or equivalent experience. Qualified accountant (e.g., ACCA, ICAEW). Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) or equivalent qualification is essential. Minimum of 10 years’ post-qualification experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a fiduciary or corporate services environment. Extensive knowledge of financial reporting and international tax legislation across regulated jurisdictions. Proven leadership and ability to inspire distributed teams. Advanced expertise in IFRS, FRS, and GAAP. Capable of translating business strategy into effective functional plans. Experience in process optimisation and implementing governance structures. Strong data analysis capabilities; able to make evidence-based decisions. Exceptional communication skills for diverse audiences. Strong business acumen, understanding client relationships' impact on revenue. High integrity and professionalism, serving as a role model for ethical conduct. Resilience under pressure, with a calm and adaptable approach. Detail-oriented, particularly in technical reviews. Proactive and self-motivated, seeking opportunities for improvement. Collaborative and inclusive, valuing diverse perspectives.
