Our client is seeking an Associate Underwriter to join their team specialising in fine art and private client insurance. This role will involve underwriting a diverse portfolio including fine art, jewellery, classic cars, high-value household assets, and a range of collectibles, with the opportunity to develop expertise across global crisis management lines.

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Underwriting, pricing and negotiating accounts in line with company strategy and guidelines.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with brokers, clients, and other distribution channels.
- Managing and analysing a portfolio of business to ensure profitability and achieve production targets.
- Handling predominantly renewal business with scope to manage new opportunities from established channels.
- Participating in client and broker calls or meetings to enhance knowledge of the sector.
- Supporting underwriting systems and contributing to continuous improvement within the department.
- Producing regular and ad-hoc management information reports, analysing data to assist strategic decisions.
- Maintaining high service standards and assisting with additional departmental projects as required.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels. Strong analytical ability, organisational skills, and the capacity to prioritise tasks effectively are essential. A proactive and enthusiastic approach, coupled with the ability to learn quickly and work to deadlines, is key to success in this role. A degree or equivalent is preferred, and Spanish language skills would be an advantage. Applicants should demonstrate drive, flexibility, and a willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
