IT, Operations Our client is seeking a Senior Operations Officer to join their team on a full-time basis. Reporting to the Head of Business Operations, this role supports the smooth delivery of operational processes and contributes to projects, governance, and compliance across the organisation. The successful candidate will play an integral role in maintaining a robust operational infrastructure and will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external providers to support business resilience, IT oversight, information security, and data protection initiatives. Job Duties:

Assist in coordinating operational projects, including documentation, timelines, and stakeholder communication Take ownership of project tasks such as preparing reports, conducting research, liaising with vendors, and supporting implementation Track project milestones, dependencies, and risks, and provide concise updates for senior management and the Board Act as a key point of contact for outsourced IT providers regarding daily operational matters Provide occasional helpdesk support and cover when required Work with the vCISO and operations team to implement and maintain information security strategy Support policy development and compliance with security standards and relevant certifications Conduct access reviews, maintain asset and risk registers, support audits, and assist in documenting control effectiveness Assist with data protection activities, including maintenance of the Data Protection Policy and associated procedures Work with the in-house Data Protection Representative on data subject requests and compliance monitoring Contribute to the review and upkeep of internal policies and procedures in line with governance and regulatory requirements Provide general operational and administrative support to the team to ensure seamless business operations Assist with supplier management, including contract review, renewals, and performance tracking Support the preparation of management information and Board-level operational reporting

Job Requirements:

Minimum 5 years’ experience in an operational or administrative role within financial services Understanding of GFSC requirements, Guernsey legislation, and governance frameworks Interest or prior exposure to information security and data protection Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Highly organised and self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem solving Strong computer literacy, with knowledge of systems such as Acumen, FIS Investran, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and SharePoint beneficial (training provided) Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
