IT Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Cloud Engineer to join their dynamic Technology department in Guernsey. In this full-time role, you will be integral to the digital transformation efforts that aim to enhance operational efficiency and deliver exceptional service to a diverse range of clients, including high-net-worth individuals, families, corporate institutions, and asset managers. Job Duties:

Designing and implementing Azure cloud solutions, including virtual networks, storage, compute instances, and various Azure services. Configuring and managing Azure services such as Entra ID and Azure SQL Database. Automating deployment, scaling, and monitoring of Azure resources. Collaborating with the data team to optimise data storage, processing, and analytics solutions on Azure. Implementing and maintaining cloud security best practices, encompassing identity and access management, network security groups, encryption, and monitoring. Leveraging Microsoft Intune for modern device management to ensure a secure and productive workforce. Implementing Windows Autopilot for seamless device provisioning and onboarding. Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Azure infrastructure, services, Intune, and Autopilot. Staying updated with the latest Azure technologies and making recommendations for continuous improvement. Creating and maintaining documentation and knowledge base articles for all supported applications and technologies. Adhering to company policies and procedures while performing any other duties as required.

Job Requirements:

3 - 5 years’ experience in a similar role. A Higher Education Certificate. Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and architectures. Hands-on experience with Azure services such as Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Networking, and Azure Active Directory. Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or other scripting languages. Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, etc.) and security principles. Familiarity with data storage, processing, and analytics solutions on Azure. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines. Flexible attitude to working hours and team needs.
