We are actively looking to recruit a Seasonal Plant Manager for our busy plant departments at Le Friquet Garden Centre.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Plant Department Managers pride themselves on not only giving our customers the very best in product quality and choice but also on providing them with an aspirational shopping experience through creating stunning visual displays. They work hard to constantly ensure stock availability, that our high standards of plant care and quality are always maintained and that our customers enjoy exceptional service and specialist advice. As a Plant Department Manager, you would be responsible for managing and leading your team in pulling all of this vital activity together so that our customers have a truly unique and memorable shopping experience. Your focus will always be on the customer and meeting their expectations, but you will also have responsibility for driving sales and profitability - so you will have a real sense of ownership and empowerment!

ABOUT YOU

Our ideal Plants Manager will:

● Have an energetic personality and ability to engage and connect with our AB1 target customers and lead all our customers to products that are most appropriate for their requirements increasing add-on sales

● Have a creative and entrepreneurial attitude towards retailing

● Have a good knowledge of gardening and plants.

● Be able to recognise and act on sales opportunities

● Be meticulous to detail in terms of product placement, standards, presentation, visual elevation and overall look and feel

● Be an inspirational leader for centre staff ensuring they receive clear direction and performance management within a culture of coaching and mentoring ● Be able to use reports in order to improve performance, specifically on profit margin control

● Ensure stock availability and manage stock from entry to exit within the centre

What's in it for you?

● Starting pay from £35,000 - £40,000 per annum dependent upon experience (Pro-rata for part time)

● 29 days holiday per annum

● Fixed rota with 2 days in a row off including a weekend day
