Accounting Our client is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Manager, Finance to join their dynamic Finance team on a permanent, hybrid basis. This pivotal role involves managing financial information for trading entities in the UK and Ireland, including the preparation of monthly management accounts, statutory financial statements, and compliance with auditing processes. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring timely financial reporting and contributing to the annual budgeting process while upholding the highest standards of corporate governance. Job Duties:
Prepare monthly management accounts and variance analysis. Prepare and submit regulatory returns. Prepare year-end statutory financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards. Assist the Manager with audits of regulated entities, liaising with auditors on accounting and reporting issues while managing deliverables and queries to meet filing deadlines. Actively engage in the annual budgeting process for the region. Liaise with external tax providers to ensure relevant filings are completed on time. Adhere to the client’s core values, expected behaviours, and compliance procedures concerning regulatory requirements and AML legislation. Undertake any additional duties as deemed necessary by Management.
Job Requirements:
Hold or be nearing completion of a relevant professional qualification. Demonstrate a clear understanding of accounting standards (UK GAAP and IFRS). Provide input, feedback, and lead work as required. Experience in preparing financial statements. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise effectively. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
