Accounting, IT Our client, a reputable firm operating in the offshore legal industry, is seeking a dynamic Finance Systems Manager to oversee, maintain, and enhance their financial systems. This key position will ensure that financial operations run efficiently while improving user experience through effective system development, configuration, and training. This role not only involves managing day-to-day operations but also spearheading future functionality roll-outs to maximise the firm’s financial systems. Job Duties:
Serve as the primary contact for all Aderant-related and financial system inquiries. Maintain the integrity of the financial systems, ensuring data accuracy and regulatory compliance. Manage user security, access, and administration within the Aderant system, upholding relevant controls. Troubleshoot technical issues in collaboration with IT and external vendors. Engage with suppliers and online communities to share best practices and address user issues. Oversee the execution of system upgrades, ensuring minimal business disruption. Test new functionalities for stability and compatibility before deployment. Manage data migrations, integrations, and system rollouts during upgrade projects. Develop and conduct training sessions for users to enhance system proficiency. Create user guides and best practice documentation for Aderant usage. Support finance teams with reporting and data extraction, ensuring accessibility for decision-making. Assist with compliance reporting and audit requirements driven by the system.
Job Requirements:
Accountancy or bookkeeping qualification/experience (desired). Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within a professional services environment. Proven experience with Aderant in a law firm or professional services context. Strong technical expertise in system configuration, upgrades, and troubleshooting. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail. Competence in managing projects, meeting deadlines, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders. Strong communication skills, with the ability to train and support non-technical users. Knowledge of SQL, Excel, and reporting tools (e.g., SSRS Report Builder, Power BI). Familiarity with legal finance operations and regulatory requirements. Experience with system integrations and automation solutions.
