Fixed and Mobile Plant Technician

| We are recruiting for a Fixed & Mobile Plant Technician to work on heavy plant and vehicles, to join our busy department.<br><br><br><br>Island Waste is part of the Guernsey Recycling Group (GRG). GRG is a leading recycling and waste management company, proudly helping local businesses and households to recycle as much as possible.<br><br><br><br>We operate a range of operational activities within a fleet and garage environment.<br><br><br><br>This includes undertaking a wide range of mechanical maintenance and repair services to vehicles, plant, and equipment. We have a large fleet of Dustcarts and Skip lorries along with mobile and static plant, so the work is varied.<br><br><br><br>Qualified Mechanic's status is preferred; but an individual with experience will be considered. Working knowledge of electrics would be an advantage.<br><br><br><br>Cat C License is preferred, but we do offer a trainee driver program.<br><br><br><br>Applicants must live in Guernsey and hold a valid right to work in Guernsey.<br><br><br><br>No accommodation is provided with this role.<br><br><br><br>GRG offers an employment package, with benefits for this role including:<br><br>•  21 days annual leave increasing with length of service.<br><br>•  A Secondary Pension is offered upon successful completion of a probation period.<br><br>•  Health Insurance is offered upon successful completion of a probation period.<br><br><br><br>Hours are based on 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 07.00am - 15.30pm, with some overtime when required.<br><br><br><br>
