Our client is offering an excellent opportunity for a Trainee Conveyancer to join their property team. This role is designed for someone keen to build a career in law, gaining hands-on experience across all aspects of conveyancing while working closely with experienced professionals. Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting with drafting and preparation of property contracts and legal documents.
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, banks, and other intermediaries at each stage of a transaction.
- Attending site visits, reviewing measurements, boundaries, and rights.
- Drafting correspondence, conditions of sale, title reports, and Powers of Attorney.
- Gaining knowledge of conveyancing to provide informed commentary on titles, conditions of sale, and security matters.
- Assisting with completion procedures, including presenting documents, taking consents, document checks, and registrations.
- Using precedents, drafting notes, and maintaining accurate records in systems such as 3E, DMS, Digi-map, Cadastre, and Greffe searches.
- Supporting compliance requirements, including AML procedures and internal policies.
- Building strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and third-party firms.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be educated to A-level standard (or equivalent) and demonstrate excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills. They will be personable, a strong communicator, and capable of managing a busy workload while remaining calm under pressure. Administration or customer service experience would be advantageous, as would the ability to understand or speak French, but these are not essential. The most important qualities are enthusiasm, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
