Compliance, Risk Our client is seeking a Manager for the Compliance Policy and Regulatory Engagement Lead position. The role will play a crucial part in ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations under financial crime laws and regulations in the Channel Islands. The successful candidate will work within a full-time capacity, with contracted hours of 37.5 hours per week. This position will be based in Jersey or Guernsey. Job Duties:

Lead and coach a compliance team to develop, maintain, and implement the compliance framework. Embed technology solutions to enhance the compliance framework and ensure adherence to regulatory standards. Act as primary support to the firm’s MLCO in developing and applying AML/CFT and CPF policies and procedures. Build and maintain relationships with local regulators and stakeholders. Prepare, review, and submit regular reporting to regulatory bodies in line with guidance. Draft and manage communications with local regulators, ensuring timely payments of regulatory fees. Manage regulatory visits and respond to consultation papers in collaboration with senior management. Support the preparation and review of the MLCO Report and other necessary reporting to the Leadership Team. Maintain compliance logs, trackers, and registers to ensure accuracy and completeness. Conduct compliance analytics and support technology enhancements. Oversee the preparation and updates to the Business Risk Assessment (BRA) in alignment with compliance policies. Provide guidance and advice to the business regarding AML/CFT and CPF policies. Support the execution of training plans and communications related to compliance.

Job Requirements:

A relevant professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, ICAEW). ICA Diploma in Governance, Risk and Compliance or equivalent. Strong knowledge of Channel Islands laws and regulations. Experience in compliance monitoring, audit, or internal audit. Analytical skills to interpret complex legal documents and regulations. Ability to draft comprehensive compliance policies and procedures. Strong written and spoken communication skills for engagement with stakeholders. Proven leadership skills with a focus on collaboration and team management. Proficiency in relevant compliance technologies. 3-5 years of relevant experience in a compliance role is preferred.
