Are you an experienced and hands-on project leader with a passion for making change happen and delivering real results? Do you thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment? An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Guernsey Post as Head of Projects and Change, where you'll lead our new Projects function and play a pivotal role in shaping how we deliver change across the business.
What you'll be doing:
You'll take ownership of our newly established Projects function, shaping its direction and embedding effective practices while keeping delivery pragmatic and outcome-focused. This means:
Establishing and managing the Projects team, embedding effective practices and scalable governance measures.
Delivering key strategic and cross-functional projects hands-on, while coaching others to build capability. Supporting project delivery across the business.
Working closely with senior leaders to prioritise initiatives, manage resources, and ensure benefits are realised.
Driving clear communication and collaboration across all departments to make change successful and co-owned.
You'll ideally have experience of:
Delivering complex, cross-functional projects using both Agile and waterfall approaches.
Experience leading projects and, ideally, helping to improve how projects are managed in an organisation.
Building project frameworks, templates, and reporting tools that scale to project size and complexity.
Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, including working with senior leadership.
Hands-on project delivery, including planning, risk management, and process improvement.
You may not tick every box, but if you can have strong experience delivering projects, enjoy working collaboratively to make change happen, and can demonstrate adaptability and a passion for enabling change, we'd love to hear from you—even if you don't have formal project management qualifications.
Hours of work: 36 hours per week Monday to Friday.
Why join us?
This is a unique opportunity to shape a new function, with visibility and influence at senior level. You'll make a real impact on how Guernsey Post delivers its strategic priorities and operational improvements, in a supportive and collaborative environment that values innovation and continuous improvement.
Guernsey Post offers a range of benefits including, contributory pension scheme, health insurance, canteen facilities, car parking and a sports and social club.
