Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Acting as a key contact for clients, investment advisers and internal teams.
- Building strong client relationships and understanding bespoke reporting requirements.
- Managing and reviewing accounting tasks to ensure all deliverables and KPIs are achieved.
- Preparing and reviewing complex financial statements under UK, US, and Lux GAAP/IFRS.
- Maintaining investment and portfolio records, including purchases, disposals, income, valuations, restructures and other complex activity.
- Processing investor calls and distributions, liaising with clients, banks and investors.
- Producing management fee and carried interest calculations.
- Assisting with company secretarial tasks including minutes, agendas and investor changes.
- Supporting investor reporting and preparing regulatory returns (e.g., AIFMD, Solvency II).
- Providing information for global tax reporting (e.g., FATCA, CRS, UK/German/US tax).
- Reviewing data exports and maintaining SharePoint workflows.
- Leading small projects and acting as a subject matter expert for more complex tasks.
- Supporting junior team members through task review, coaching and workload support.
- Identifying process improvements, system enhancements and efficiency opportunities.
- Monitoring risks, escalating issues early and ensuring robust oversight of controls.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be ACA/ACCA qualified (or part-qualified) with solid experience in private equity or fund accounting. They will be confident working with UK, US or Lux GAAPs, comfortable communicating directly with clients, and able to manage deadlines with minimal supervision. Strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail and good Excel ability are essential, and experience with Investran would be beneficial. A proactive, organised approach and an interest in developing further within private equity operations are key.
