What the day will look like In this varied role, you will take day-to-day responsibility for the insurance servicing of a portfolio of captive clients. You’ll ensure that client strategies, business plans and insurance programme placements are achieved, while delivering first-class service and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships. You will: Manage the day-to-day insurance servicing and renewals for a portfolio of captive clients, ensuring Aon Guernsey and client deadlines are met Review all insurance-related matters for client Board and Committee meeting packs, and present insurance topics at Board and Underwriting Committee meetings Draft and review meeting minutes and review contract wordings to ensure insurance programmes are fit for purpose and comply with relevant regulatory and legislative requirements Develop excellent working relationships with key stakeholders including clients, colleagues, regulators, insurers, and brokers Consider and develop current and existing client insurance programmes, keeping clients informed of relevant developments within Aon and the wider insurance markets Work closely with the Client Services Director/Client Executive and team colleagues to achieve both Aon Insurance Managers’ and client goals Act as a resource for the wider Company to ensure consistency of approach and achievement of budgetary objectives Actively manage, mentor, and support the development and ongoing training of staff reporting to you and the wider team Provide or review timely insurance and claims information for finance colleagues to support the preparation of management accounts Contribute to other projects or ad hoc work as assigned by the management team, delivering to agreed timescales How this opportunity is different This role offers the opportunity to work at the centre of the captive insurance industry in Guernsey, partnering with senior management teams of large multinational organisations. You’ll gain exposure not only to insurance programme design and placement, but also to financial reporting, regulatory compliance, company secretarial activity, and the strategic development of client relationships. You will collaborate closely with experienced Client Services Directors, Client Executives, technical specialists, and finance colleagues, giving you a broad platform to grow both your technical skills and your leadership capabilities. In turn, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our captive clients’ risk financing strategies and contributing to the continued growth of Aon’s Guernsey operation. Skills and experience that will lead to success ACII qualification (or equivalent) or close to attaining the designation, with strong technical knowledge of the insurance and reinsurance industry Solid general insurance experience: prior captive insurance experience and some staff supervision exposure is desirable Strong client service focus Ability to translate business strategies into operational plans, work effectively with colleagues at all levels, and demonstrate commitment to continuous personal and team development How we support our colleagues In addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we encourage an inclusive workforce.
