Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual statutory financial statements in line with IFRS.
- Leading month-end and year-end close processes, including journals, accruals and reconciliations.
- Maintaining accurate general ledger controls and balance sheet integrity.
- Managing external audits and acting as the key point of contact for auditors.
- Ensuring timely regulatory reporting and statutory submissions.
- Overseeing tax compliance and liaising with external tax advisers.
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and management reporting processes.
- Providing financial analysis and commentary to senior stakeholders.
- Identifying opportunities to improve systems, controls and finance processes.
- Supervising and supporting junior finance team members.
- Working closely with wider group finance teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA) with strong financial services experience and a solid understanding of regulatory and statutory reporting requirements. They will be confident taking ownership, comfortable working with senior stakeholders and able to balance technical accuracy with commercial awareness. Strong communication skills, attention to detail and a proactive, improvement-focused mindset are essential.
