Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct periodic and trigger-based risk reviews of trust and company client relationships.
- Review client files and management systems to ensure adherence to internal standards and regulatory requirements.
- Risk-rate clients and confirm appropriate screening levels are applied.
- Review CDD documentation, source of wealth, and source of funds, summarising findings in line with group procedures.
- Use public and third-party information sources to corroborate client information where required.
- Identify, document, and escalate potential risks, breaches, or control weaknesses appropriately.
- Provide clear action points where additional information or remediation is required.
- Liaise with internal teams to pass on relevant matters outside the immediate risk review scope.
- Escalate material issues to the Head of Compliance where necessary.
- Support wider compliance priorities and ad hoc reviews as required during the contract period.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have experience in a risk review or compliance role within the trust, fiduciary, or financial services sector, with a strong working knowledge of Guernsey's AML/CFT/CPF framework. You will be confident working independently, highly organised, and able to produce clear, well-reasoned review documentation. This role suits someone who exercises sound judgement, focuses on material risk, and delivers high-quality output within defined timeframes.
