This is a varied and intellectually stimulating role for a proactive individual looking to build a career in financial services regulation! Sitting at the heart of prudential and conduct supervision, this position plays a key role in maintaining confidence in the Bailiwick's banking and insurance sectors.

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting the prudential and conduct supervision of banks, insurers, insurance managers, intermediaries and firms licensed under the Lending, Credit and Finance Law.
- Acting as a first point of contact for a portfolio of regulated entities.
- Contributing to risk-based supervision under PRISM by analysing information provided by licensees.
- Applying sound judgement to assess whether firms' behaviour meets established regulatory expectations.
- Reviewing periodic returns, financial statements and other regulatory information.
- Assisting with the planning and attendance of on-site supervisory visits.
- Analysing data to identify risks, issues and areas requiring regulatory attention.
- Preparing accurate, clear and concise written records, reports and regulatory documentation.
- Assisting with the preparation and presentation of findings to internal governance panels.
- Liaising with licensees, boards, senior managers, advisers and other stakeholders.
- Supporting thematic reviews, projects and policy-related work across the division.
- Maintaining and developing knowledge of relevant regulatory laws, rules and guidance.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be naturally inquisitive, analytical and interested in how financial services operate within a regulated environment. They do not need to have prior experience across every sector supervised, but experience gained within insurance, banking, auditing, actuarial work, compliance or a similar financial services environment would be advantageous. A willingness to broaden technical knowledge, apply sound judgement and build strong professional relationships with a wide range of stakeholders is essential, alongside strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
