Our client is offering an excellent opportunity for a driven individual to make a significant impact as part of a professional team. The Assistant Fund Accountant will provide accounting and financial reporting services for both established and new real estate and private equity funds. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio that includes private equity clients and associated Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) while liaising with the finance team, directors, auditors, and external advisors to ensure that all issues are promptly resolved. This role involves working within a small team and being engaged in the onboarding of new clients. The position is ideal for someone who possesses both commercial acumen and technical skills and is motivated to provide effective operational solutions to clients. Job Duties Ensuring that all files are adequately maintained. Preparing bank reconciliations for all client accounts. Updating the financial system for all transaction-related activities. Preparing and amending management accounts produced by the team. Performing additional ad hoc duties or projects as requested and as experience is gained. Job Requirements Demonstrated interest in accounting. Relevant practical work experience is advantageous. Self-motivating with an adaptable and flexible approach to work. Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers and clients. Capability to solve practical problems and manage a variety of situations. Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word. Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills. Strong numeracy and good written skills.
