Our client is seeking an Analyst or Actuarial Trainee to join their Actuarial Pensions team on a full-time, permanent basis. Reporting to the Manager, Actuarial Pensions, this role offers a valuable opportunity for a numerate and analytical individual to begin or develop a career in actuarial consultancy. You will be involved in the preparation of data, calculations, and reports for pension schemes, as well as client communications and quality assurance of work. Full training will be provided, with support for professional qualifications for the right candidate. Job Duties Assist in the preparation of data and calculations for actuarial valuations and financial reporting of pension schemes. Calculate individual member benefits and prepare draft letters to communicate the results. Prepare and check standard valuation reports. Represent our client professionally and effectively with clients via phone, written correspondence, or in person. Check the work of other team members in the Pensions Actuarial department. Provide support to partners and staff across the business as required. Job Requirements Minimum grade A at A Level (or equivalent) in Mathematics. Applications are also welcome from candidates with a science-based degree. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email is essential. A strong interest in mathematical modelling and problem solving. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently after initial briefing and instruction. Willingness to study for the Institute of Actuaries exams; full support will be provided.
