Accountancy Tax Tutor

Our client is seeking a skilled and dedicated Accountancy and Tax Tutor to join their team on a permanent basis. This role offers the opportunity to provide exam-focused tuition and student support across various financial courses and qualifications. The successful candidate will be a newly qualified accountant with some mentoring or coaching experience. Travel to other islands (approximately 20 days per year) will be required. This role is ideal for someone looking to transition into education while utilising their accountancy skills. Job Duties Deliver high-quality, exam-focused tuition across financial courses and qualifications. Provide student support, guiding students through their course material and exam preparation. Teach both face-to-face and online. Develop and write courseware and resources. Lead course modules and manage student progress. Mark student scripts and provide constructive feedback. Possibly engage in account management and deliver on-site training for corporate clients. Run local branch events for professional institutes. Foster a positive learning environment and engage with students to ensure high pass rates and academic success. Job Requirements A professional qualification in accountancy or tax. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage students effectively. Ability to collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a team-oriented environment. Strong planning and organisational skills, ensuring deadlines are met and outputs are of high quality. Adaptability to meet the changing needs of the business. A customer-focused approach to both internal teamwork and external client relationships. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Previous teaching experience is beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided. Mentoring or coaching experience is highly desirable.
