This role specifically focuses on developing the fiduciary services business in Jersey, promoting services to both existing clients and potential new clients. The Associate Director will play a key role in business development initiatives and maintain strong relationships with intermediary providers while ensuring adherence to the firm’s strategy. Job Duties Take overall responsibility for client relationships within your area of control. Establish strong, profitable client relationships founded on mutual respect and a deep understanding of client affairs while guiding staff to do the same. Anticipate client needs and manage expectations regarding service delivery without overpromising. Utilise financial and investment knowledge to create effective strategies that meet clients' needs. Identify potential technical and tax-related issues when approaching client complexities and seek expert advice when necessary. Seek regular feedback from clients to improve future service delivery. Foster collaboration between various business units to ensure clients receive the highest standard of service. Assist directors in resolving contentious client issues and participate in critical decision-making. Review company or trust accounts and financial reports critically. Sign as an 'A' signatory on bank accounts. Actively participate in acquiring new business and may serve as a director for managed companies as needed. Provide support to directors when required and manage teams effectively to enhance development and performance. Job Requirements A comprehensive understanding and proven track record in offshore fiduciary services. Experience in addressing complex offshore fiduciary challenges. Demonstrated success in managing client relationships effectively. Background in marketing and business development initiatives. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, applicable to staff, intermediaries, and clients. Exceptional time management and organisational abilities. Good presentation and communication skills. Sound judgement and a robust understanding of financial markets and finances. Ability to inspire others and act as a motivational leader. Deep knowledge of compliance issues and the regulatory framework relevant to the firm. Ideally educated to degree level in a business-related subject, such as law or accountancy, and a member of an appropriate professional body. A minimum of 15 years of experience in fiduciary services, including at least 5 years in a senior management role.
