Plant Operative

We are recruiting for a Plant Operative to join our busy Bulwer Avenue Site. Island Waste is part of the Guernsey Recycling Group (GRG). GRG is a leading recycling and waste management company, proudly helping local businesses and households to recycle as much as possible. As islanders are doing an excellent job at recycling their waste, we are looking for a person to join our fantastic team. An experience operator preferred, but full training will be given on site. The main responsibilities of the Plant Operatives will be: •Operate machinery and plant as directed. •Undertake, checks on plant and machinery. •Work well as part of a team. Applicants must live in Guernsey and hold a valid right to work. No accommodation is provided with this role. GRG offers an employment package, with benefits for this role including: • 21 days annual leave increasing with length of service. • A Secondary Pension upon successful completion of a probation period. • Health Insurance upon successful completion of a probation period. Standard hours are based on 40 hours per week, 07.00am - 16.00pm Monday to Friday. Some overtime when required.
