Our client, a leading provider of tax, audit and assurance, advisory, and business outsourcing services, is seeking a Senior Business Services and Outsourcing professional. This role is crucial in forming part of the Business Services team, where the successful candidate will assist in providing business services, including accounts preparation and outsourcing, to a diverse range of clients using cloud-based software. The individual will engage closely with client relationships, ensuring that the highest quality of service is maintained. The position involves preparing financial statements and comprehensive working paper files for managerial review, as well as identifying efficiency improvement opportunities through proactive use of accounting software. Additionally, the candidate will oversee bookkeeping, management accounts preparation, and maintain compliance with internal and external requirements. This role offers the chance to develop one's skills while mentoring junior team members. The successful candidate will be expected to manage personal learning and development effectively and maintain currency with updates to accounting standards and regulations. Job Duties Prepare financial statements and comprehensive working paper files for manager review, adhering to budget constraints. Actively identify opportunities for efficiency and improvement through the use of accounting software. Prepare basic income tax returns. Undertake bookkeeping and prepare management accounts (Xero/QuickBooks). Conduct monthly and yearly account reconciliations. Supervise, coach, and develop junior team members. Ensure compliance with internal (risk management) and external (legal and regulatory) requirements in all engagements. Build and maintain robust relationships with staff and clients. Manage personal learning and development, keeping abreast of updates to accounting standards and relevant regulations. Job Requirements CAT/AAT qualified or possess a minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role. Working knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP. Demonstrated experience in exercising professional scepticism and appropriate challenge. Quality-driven individual with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to handle confidential information while maintaining discretion and integrity. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, effective at all levels. Strong organisational skills with an ability to prioritise tasks efficiently. Good time management skills, capable of meeting deadlines within set budgets. A proactive team player with solid mentoring capabilities. Self-motivated and able to work autonomously when necessary. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Proficient in MS Office applications; familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, Caseware, QuickBooks, and Sage is advantageous.
