Our client is expanding their network services capability and is seeking a hands-on engineer to support enterprise customers across a diverse technical estate. This role offers the opportunity to work at the frontline of network and security operations, delivering critical services in a fast-paced environment! Location Guernsey , Channel Islands Duties for this role include, but are not limited to: Act as the first escalation point for network and security incidents across enterprise customers. Identify root causes, resolve incidents, and escalate to senior colleagues or vendors where required. Support and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, firewall, and managed network solutions. Implement and support wired and wireless network infrastructure using a range of vendor technologies. Carry out customer change requests in line with internal and client change management processes. Contribute to operational delivery, including incident, problem, change, and continual service improvement activities. Support datacentre operations, including cabling, racks, and coordination of third-party contractors. Participate in projects such as tooling enhancements, system migrations, and new service deployments. Produce and maintain technical documentation, work instructions, and service records. Take part in an on-call rota to provide out-of-hours support. Skills / Qualifications The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in network technologies, with hands-on experience in routing, switching, and security environments. You will be methodical, customer-focused, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. A proactive approach, willingness to learn, and commitment to service quality will be essential for success.
