Overview We're looking for a highly motivated Relationship Manager to join our Relationship Management team in Guernsey. In this pivotal role, you will be the primary point of contact for a portfolio of High Net Worth (HNW) and corporate clients—delivering exceptional service, managing risk, and supporting the full lifecycle of each client relationship. You will play an integral part in growing Skipton International's corporate and HNW deposit book by proactively identifying new opportunities, enhancing customer experience, and ensuring seamless operational delivery across all touchpoints. Key Accountabilities Relationship Management & Service Delivery Act as the primary contact for all HNW and corporate clients, ensuring exceptional service and timely responses to queries. Manage account opening, maintenance, and ongoing service delivery, ensuring expectations are consistently met. Develop deep, long‑term relationships with new and existing customers to drive retention and satisfaction. Business Development Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, supporting the growth of the corporate and HNW deposit book. Seek opportunities within existing customer relationships to increase deposits and expand engagement. Contribute to new initiatives to enhance market penetration and support product development. Risk & Compliance Own the customer onboarding and periodic review processes, ensuring they are completed accurately, efficiently, and in line with regulatory standards. Maintain thorough awareness of bank policies and industry best practice, ensuring robust risk management. Safeguard customer confidentiality, data integrity, and adhere to all operational controls. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and achievement of sales targets. Champion the customer experience by ensuring outcomes that are fair, appropriate and aligned with Skipton's values. Suggest, embrace and support change initiatives, continually reviewing processes for improvement. Personal Development Take ownership of your learning and development, building expertise and maintaining SME status in relevant areas. Ensure clear objectives are set, measured and aligned with performance expectations. Requirements Essential Skills Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability. Ability to assess risks and identify opportunities. Outstanding customer service skills. Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple corporate relationships. Able to work collaboratively across teams. Knowledge Understanding of the savings market and banking products. Experience Proven experience working with HNW and corporate clients in a relationship management or similar banking role. Desirable Qualifications Degree‑level education or equivalent professional experience in Business or Banking. Skills Strong sales and negotiation skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Experience supporting marketing or proposition development. Knowledge Familiarity with private banking or HNW client engagement. Relevant professional banking qualifications. Experience Experience in sales, relationship management or support roles within the banking industry.
