We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Manager to join our team in Mid-April. This position would suit someone who has current experience within the hospitality sector as a junior manager or supervisor and wishes to progress their career. You will be a key component within our business supporting the Manager and other team members on a daily basis and assuming overall responsibility during the Managers absence. We are an informal and relaxed busy beach café and you will be required to work in a hard, fast-paced environment. Bank holidays will be part of your working week and during peak summer periods you will be required to work 5.5 days per week. Applications will close on 15th March and should be sent to info@beachhouseguernsey.com The successful candidate will have or be: · Fluent English · Relevant industry experience · Flexibility and Responsiveness · A customer service driven attitude · Excellent inter-personal and leadership skills, including motivating and managing young staff. · A professional approach with a proactive and positive attitude. · Above all, the ability to handle pressure during peak times. · Leadership and mentoring of staff within the business. · Motivate and create a team spirit and customer service driven attitude. · Operate staff levels according to volume of business and react to busy/slow times. · Monitor cash operations and daily activity reports. · Integrate, train and supervise all food and beverage staff. · Computer literate with a good knowledge of POS touch screen till systems.
